With the epic Monday night Stink parties long gone, Mulletover’s tracksuit special last weekend was one of the rare opportunities to catch the one and only Damian Lazarus on his home turf.

As expected, the Brits came out strong working out to deep and twisty beats clad in retro Adidas gear, no doubt the perfect attire to last until sunrise… and, for the ambitious ones, to jog back home.

Our inaugural Novemberfest in Munich was foiled over the weekend with two days of heavy rain dampening our nightlife antics. Our only excursion past midnight was Harry Klein in Kultfabrik, a former noodle factory converted into a playground of clubs and bars.

This month, Harry Klein hosts its Marry Klein nights featuring female DJs at the decks. A very young crowd showed up on Saturday prancing to a dirty teutonic sound that makes it hard to leave the dancefloor. With Miss Jools who co-produced the hit track Full of You and Anja Schneider in the cards later this month, we expect this klein venue to be packed whether it pours heavily or not.

Many good choices over the weekend, especially in the soon to be redeveloped King’s Cross former depot area, but what really caught our attention was a so-called “warehouse” party in Shoreditch.

The warehouse bit was quite underwhelming. The “underground” party was actually housed in an not so indoor football pitch a few minutes north of Liverpool St Tube. Could be a possibility in the summer but in autumn, it’s very difficult to wear a T-shirt when the poorly insulated tent was welcoming a slightly chilly wind with open arms.

The music was promising with up-and-coming Berlin-based DJ/producer Sebo K headlining the event. But with a sub-par sound system in a very disappointing setting, we decided to catch the minimal beats when he plays in T Bar in early December. Dancing on astroturf just didn’t cut it this time.
